FUNimation at SGC!
FUNimation will be representing this weekend at the ScrewAttack Gaming Convention in Dallas! That’s right, 72 hours of anything and everything gaming related will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency Dallas starting this Friday.
We’ll have our booth there with lots of freebies and prizes, so please stop by and keep us company. It’ll be our first time at SGC, and it’d be nice to see some friendly faces! Here are the hours we’ll be open:
Friday 11am - 6pm
Saturday 10am - 6pm
Sunday 10am - 2pm
We’ve also got a panel on Friday at 8pm on Main Stage 2. Rojas will be running the panel and discussing why Goku would have totally kicked Superman’s ass in DEATH BATTLE!… just kidding. Well, kinda. In all seriousness, he’ll be talking about the latest updates and news from FUNimation, so be sure to attend.

Flower Mound, TX – June 14, 2013 – FUNimation announced today that it has acquired rights to Ghost in the Shell: Arise. They plan to release a special edition subtitle-only Blu-ray containing the imported Japanese O-card, Blu-ray discs, and film strip along with an English translated art booklet. This special edition will be a limited single run printing of 2,500 units and will be on sale prior to FUNimation’s typical English language home video release. FUNimation will also be screening parts 1 & 2 of the OVA series in a limited theatrical run later this year.
Synopsis:
In this prequel set one year after the fourth World War, cyborg and hacker extraordinaire Motoko Kusanagi from the military’s 501st Secret Unit finds herself wrapped up in the investigation of a devastating bombing.
